Wildflowers and country roads

Hello Friend! Wildflowers and Country Roads is both a reality and a state of mind. I warmly invite you to join me on my journey. A journey of showcasing my vision: the beauty my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has bestowed on the world I love.
My hope is that my photography will bless your day in a beautiful way.

Happy Birthday Mom

Good morning,
Yes, "officially" my blog is on summer hiatus.
Yet, having a blog page is neat when the need arises to "just share" memories on special day.

93 years ago, on July 12, 1919,
Marjorie Esther Perlee
arrived in the world!
The first of three children born to Gordon and Marion Perlee.
of
Albany, New York
This was mom, standing, with her baby sister, Marion.
There was 5 years between each of the three siblings.
Gordon, (Buddy) was born last.

Little Marjorie was most likely born
"counting something"
as
All her life, she was analytical to the max.
a trait that totally bypassed her daughter, Marilyn (Lynn)
but renewed itself in her granddaughter, Kellie, who is a CPA with her own business.
Mom must look down every day on her "Kellie Girl" and smile.

Mom's high school graduation picture.

My parents on the left, with their dear friends and "chaperons"
in New York City, 1945.
After 4 1/2 year in the Pacific, during WWII, Art was home!
Meeting the love of their lives again in NYC.

They were engaged just before the dad left the states,
finally had their long awaited, beautiful wedding in 1945

I arrived 11 months later.

I gave my mom's eulogy, which in part said.....

"Some people comes into our lives and then they leave.
Others, come into our lives and when they leave,
they leave footprints on our hearts"

"Mom left many, many footprints on all our hearts."

I love you Mom.
Hope you and Dad are having coke parties to celebrate today.
(Coca-Cola)

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed.
Lynn

WoW what lovely and well kept pictures!! I've enjoyed looking them over. The one of your mom's highschool graduation is my favorite. She is a beautiful lady, and heaven had to become even beautiful-er (it that can be a word, lol) when she came.

Blessings to you, Lynn!
Thanks, Deanna

Hi Lynn! I just wanted to stop by and say hello! I hope that you are enjoying your summer hiatus. I just close my eyes and picture you roaming the beaches, searching for that next magnificent sunrise or sunset with your camera. Have a lovely time and know that I miss you and appreciate all the sweet comments you left when I wasn't feeling well last month. I am doing much better now, the pain is back to a tolerable level and I am up and doing my normal activities! Have a wonderful weekend ahead! With Love, Delisa :)
