A Year of Gratitude - Mother's Day

I apologize for not being able to post yesterday.
Our day started out with a very early lunch at 9:30 (yes lunch) with our
grandson, Kevin, at his school for Mother's Day.
We were standing in for his precious mommy, my beautiful daughter, Heather.
Who in out of town this week on business.

Kevin is in kindergarten and in order to fit the entire elementary school in for lunch, the
kindergartens need to start first, at 9:30.
So this is really more of "brunch" for Kevin.
We brought all his favorites and since it was another beautiful day here in paradise,
we ate outside on the picnic tables and the playground area of the school.

Grampa and Kevin

Kevin enjoying playground after finishing his "brunch".
Kevin proudly showing off his artwork in his classroom before we ate.
Isn't that little face just adorable?
He just lost the second of his middle front teeth, which makes a really wide smile even more
precious.
Can you see his freckles dancing across his noise?

We had such an enjoyable time with Kevin.

By the time we arrived home, this front hanging out there in the Gulf
had given me a sinus headache.
To be honest, I tried to visit some of you, tried to do a post, but realized
soon after my efforts were poor at best at anything where type was moving
across the screen, pictures were downloading, etc.

I shut down my laptop for the day.

Thank you to those who knew and prayed.
It made a difference, as I woke up feeling fine.

I will not be posting tomorrow, as I am working on a project for my son's 31st birthday party
on Saturday.
I had given my girls a photo album of their life on their 30th birthdays.
Last year my son was deployed in Turkey, so we did not have him here to celebrate with.
His precious wife is planning a BIG event for him this weekend at their beautiful new home.

My handsome son, Bobby, aka "my baby"

While I will not be posting on Wednesday, I will post "quiet inspirations" on Friday.

I welcome my newest follower and thank each of my precious followers
for their willingness to accept me for exactly who I am,
a women with so much passion that many times I am overwhelmed with feelings
and need "blog breaks".
Being a true "wildflower" I don't do well with too much structure, and love to have "impromptu fun" with hubby, and leave for the day to dance in the surf, take photos, have a picnic or some other
magical happening we come up with.
Then there are my sinus issues, that become much more evident as the humidity kicks in
during Florida summers.

Finally, I could not have a blog that did not praise Jesus Christ, in my life.
So I do....not because of anything I am or do, but because of everything
HE does and is!

All of you who come over to my little corner of the world
are so beautiful you bring tears to my eyes.

Always.

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed.
Lynn

Lynn, you and I are so much alike! Much as I love blogging, I have been needing more and more days off, just to be able to do things and live! And things come up all at once, so I do understand, I am the same!! I also try to include Jesus in every post I do. I love your pictures today, Kevin is a real cutie-pie! I love it when you post pictures of your day to day life, it really let's us know each other better. And you, like me, announce when you will be off and not. Some bloggers just go away for awhile without saying anything and I wonder if they are sick or something.

Hi Lynn! What fun! Your grandson looks just like you. I also love all the neat hats you wear in most of your the pictures! They are so cute. I really understand about the blog breaks. I need those too and as much as I would like to I usually can't write every day and some weeks it is a struggle and I will repeat an old post or just leave a quotation. So don't feel like you have to apologize. You are so thoughtful and the times we all share together are just wonderful and... you are just wonderful... just the way you are! I'm glad to hear that you are feeling better, have a good evening ahead. With Love, Delisa :)
