Hi Lynn!

Thanks for your family story about your lilacs - and parent's house. Yes - you read right - it was hard for us to say goodbye to the house that grandpa - literally - built. He was a master carpenter and there are so many examples of his craft and artistry in that house - who knows what the new people will do to all those vintage touches and craftsmanship. Grandpa died in 1979 and grandma lived to 101 - just a few years ago. Then it was almost three years before it just now sold. Like a time capsule - all the same furnishing going back to the 1920's - I have a number of the pieces. Passing of eras are a melancholy thing . . .
