Come along with me as I travel the country roads of my heart. Since August 2010 been loving my life hanging out with hunky hubby and going to the grands ball games year round here on the Gulf Coast of FL. Never without my Nikon to showcase the beauty of this world the Lord has blessed us with. Yes, I know it is all not beauty, but choose to focus on the goodness and beauty and just give all the rest to Him in prayer. My photography is the world I see from my heart, always will have a romantic slant as I am a romantic dreamer to the core. I am so glad you have stopped by. Like my beloved wildflowers, I don't do well with too much structure and love my hair blowin in the wind, so my blog is best described as eclectic with a heart for my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

A Year of Gratitude - His beauty in nature

Goodness, I sat down to the computer 10 hours ago to compose a post.
Here it is 4:11pm and I am just about to compose said post, but it has nothing to do with
my original idea of early this morning!

Can I explain that just a bit?
Even as a young child, I have always been filled with "wonder" for the world around me.
Long before I lost my hearing, using only my little "Brownie" camera, I tried to
capture the beauty and wonder of my world.

Now it is lots and lots of years later, hehe, and being delightfully retired, I have the
ability to meander around my days (for the most part) and poke here and there,
and most always with my camera and lens at the ready.

So it was today.
Up before 6:30, deciding what to post today.......
hubby wakes up and we decide to do some errands, so off we go after a leisurely breakfast.
Along the way I see beauty that cannot be passed by.
The Lord blessed me with such a great hubby......
He just waits and I think actually loves watching me be a child at heart
trying to capture what moves me......

These are the results of HIS beauty blessing us in March on the Gulf Coast of FL.

I so love these little beauties!
There was an entire hedge of them and only as I walked closer to it, could I see the tiny
flowers.  Yes, they truly are that tiny.
They just started blooming very recently. Still huge patches without one bloom.
Once they all bloom the hedge will look like it has a lavender cover on top.

Wish I could tell you what these are called.
If you know, please advise.
The fibers on this little plant remind me so of an angora sweater.
What do you think?
By the way, I cannot wear angora, those little fibers drive me crazy and itch.
I did not do much "touching" due to the delicacy of these tiny blooms,
but did not itch after I took the photos.

Starts like this.......

Still tight in the bud!
Can you see the silvery spider thread, that is a bonus, hehe.

The bud lengthens and turns pink.
You can see the darker lavender color coming through in the ridges.
Can you see that?

Then  I looked up
to the beautiful blue sky
and.......

How about our Gulf peninsula here in Florida,
no snow during winter,
in March we have BOTH Spring flowers and Fall colors!

How blessed I am to see beauty in the most simple of days.

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed too!
Lynn

My heart and my prayers are with all of those affected by the horrible tornadoes
around the USA in the last few days.

To someone very close to my heart in Tulsa, keeping you close in prayer.

WOW, look at these flowers is such detail and the leaves that remind me of Lamb's Ears plant. I hope someone will come along and let you know what they are. Such a lovely capture.

Thank you for coming to by blog and your kind comments. I see in reading your bio we have a lot in common and first and foremost is the Lord. You are quiet gifted with the lens too I see.

I pray your day is blessed!

Hi Lynn, your pictures are wonderful today! I especially liked the one that had the little spider web! It is so beautiful and delicate. We had such a beautiful day here it was so breezy, warm and mild. Unusual for this time of year. I am not quite ready for spring, it felt like we completely missed winter this year. I am trying to embrace it though whole heartedly. Some of the azaleas are already blooming in Savannah. We are going to have some landscaping done in a few weeks and I get to pick out some new plants and shrubbery. We would like to put up a white picket fence in front of the house too. I have always wanted one of those and love the look of a cottage garden. Living so close to the woods though we have to plant very hardy things because of all the bugs, rabbits and deer. :) They love to munch! I'll post some pictures when we get it all done. I am always so inspired by your blog and your love of life and the beauty of God's creation. It always brings a surge of joy to my heart! I hope you and Terry have a lovely evening! Delisa :)
