Wildflowers and country roads

Hello Friend! Wildflowers and Country Roads is both a reality and a state of mind. I warmly invite you to join me on my journey. A journey of showcasing my vision: the beauty my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has bestowed on the world I love.
My hope is that my photography will bless your day in a beautiful way.

A Year of Gratitude - Wandering Beauty - January 9, 2012

Oh my goodness, today has been one of those days,
shall we say, "Life happens".
It would be so easy to not post today, but
I made a commitment in my heart to the Lord and the Bible tells me
"Be thankful in all circumstances for this is the will for you in Christ Jesus".
1 Thessalonians 5:18

I started making a list of the blessings of this day.
Realize the time, realize if I don't post soon I will miss today!

"New beauty meets us at every step
in all our wanderings".
John Muir

What is on your gratitude list today?
Blessings,

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn

Mmmm... my gratitude list... I enjoyed a walk with my dog just before sunset, the lighting on the duck pond near us, the reflections, the chill in the air, the skeletons of the trees - probably some of that will show up in my next Rock4Today blog since I took my camera with me!

Hi Lynn, my day was a bit challenging too, but I am so grateful that I was able to get moving and make some progress on my housework, which is something I really enjoy. I never really understood until I developed some health problems how wonderful it is just to be able to do every day things, like making chocolate chip cookies and throwing the ball for Barkley. I hope you have a restful evening ahead. Your determination to show your gratitude even on a difficult day is very inspiring! Love your photo too, what beautiful trees! Delisa :)

Yes, we should give thanks in all things! My greatest joy is that He is with me as I travel both rough and smooth roads! What a blessing!

I am just back from sick leave and catching up. I love your first pictures best, but you are really letting your light shine with that amazing shell!!!

Good morning Lynn, We should all reflect on the many things we are grateful for and thank God for our many blessings each day. In 2012 I have made a promise to myself to live each day to the fullest and sing my praises for a life full of loving family and friends.

Your photo of Blowing Rock is stunning. Good job.
Hugs, Jeanne

Blowing Rock...I enjoy taking pictures in the rain...so many unseen beauties await those daring enough to load up and hit it in the rain...I have some really good shots of rainy day pics...
Gratitude = a condition of the heart = brought by the Word working in my life in both good and hard times = Above all things...I'm thankful for Truth for it is the one thing if accepted will set a person free!

I had an 'off' day also yesterday... I call it my 'time of the month' day --even though I don't do that anymore... ha ha

We do experience gratitude even on those 'off' days... I am grateful for all of those sweet little songbirds who come to our feeders. They bring so much joy to me --and I'm sure they appreciate me feeding them especially during the winter.

Hugs,
Betsy
