Wildflowers and country roads

Hello Friend! Wildflowers and Country Roads is both a reality and a state of mind. I warmly invite you to join me on my journey. A journey of showcasing my vision: the beauty my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has bestowed on the world I love.
My hope is that my photography will bless your day in a beautiful way.

A Year of Gratitude - Puttering

Hello friends
Please come right in but do be mindful of the "stuff" laying around in what appears
very haphazard decor.
Oh gosh, I truly wish you could hear me giggle.
Yes, "giggle" and "squeak".
Seriously......the more delighted I am, the higher the range of my giggle and at
my most entertaining, I simply "squeak".
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I am simply NOT that brave.

However, I will let you in on why I am having such a delightful morning.
I have spent the morning PUTTERING.

Do you love to putter?

Puttering is such a fun random kind of day.
Nope, never woke up deciding this is a "putter morning".
There I was standing at my kitchen sink, starting to do morning dishes,
the palm fonds from our tree in front of the house were waving wildly,
perhaps beckoning me to come "play and putter" this morning.
Our Gulf Coast has so much sunlight, the rainy/gloomy days
beckon me to curl and read in my favorite chair and Ottoman.
But today hubby has lunch with friends....so
I had my hands in the soap water but with such a gloomy day,
no bright prisms jumped out in splendid colors

Yet, I could see something in the window
Can you see the dim reflection of my chandelier in the glass
against the outside awning?
The was my first gift of the day!

Leaving the dishes half finished, I rummage our the hamper to do a load of laundry,
way down at the bottom were two shirt/jacket type blouses I had forgotten about
and now I knew they were perfect for the necklace hubby gifted me with at
Christmas.
My second gift or gratitude.

So with the dishes half finished, I am doing laundry and laying the blouse on our
naked bed and yes, the necklace is perfect!
You can see where my morning is going, right?
It is like a wandering "road trip" I so love, right here in my little cottage home.

It was a enchanting morning!
I poked and pull "stuff" out with the glee of a toddler getting into a mess.
I changed some tablescapes around, then around some more
in preparation of the sweetest holiday coming up.
When hubby came home at 1pm I was ready to sit and listen to his morning
spent with his amateur radio friends.
This is my third gift/gratitude, loving hubby coming home again.

Oh yes, thought I would give you a small peek of a Valentine's table.

Little cupid is blowing you a kiss and wishing you a lovely weekend.

Whoops, this is a display on the hearth of our fireplace, set in the corner of our living room.
The mirror is reflecting the open hinged door of our entertainment center to the left
of our fireplace.
Next time will definitely remember to shut it.

If you are in blogland tomorrow, come on over.
My youngest grandson will be 3.
Yup another January birthday.
Dylan is so cute you will love his big happy smile.

Do take care on the roads if you live in snow/ice country.

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn

Hi Lynn, this post is a real good reminder, I haven't puttered in a while. I think I will do that tomorrow! It is amazing how just a little puttering can freshen up a room and make things sparkle. It sounds like you and Terry had a wonderful day. Tony and I watched several old movies today and cooked some hamburgers on the grill. It was a relaxing day. Have fun this weekend with your grandchildren! Delisa :)
