Just a happy blessed Grammie today!

Hi everyone!
Yesterday Terry had an excellent check up with his Dr.
He is now doing the more "advanced physical therapy" each day,
walking with only the cane in the house during the day.
Told him all he has to focus on is doing the PT, getting enough rest,
good food and such for the next month.
We don't see his Dr again until a month from now.

Thank you each and every precious one of you for your caring words, prayers, thoughts
and to Orchid in Japan your precious "pages" for Terry.

I have a lovely, lovely surprise this morning.
My older daughter, Heather had her niece and nephew stay over with her three boys,
the last three days.
My life right now revolves around Terry.  I was trying hard to find a time I could
meet up with Heather and all the grands, but it did not look good.

While getting ready for the PT this morning, Heather texted me to tell me they were
all on their way up!
Kaylee and George wanted to see Grampa before they went home and the boys
wanted to check up on him also to see his "leg" now with the ace bandage off.

Since Terry had been doing his own PT before breakfast he was resting before the more
strenuous PT appt and so each of the grands went in to "surprise" him one at a time.

Then we let Grampa rest some more and went outside to take pictures!

I am hugging Kaylee and Kevin (cousins)
George is sitting down. He is Kaylee's little brother.
They live in Lakeland and I don't get to see them nearly as much as I would like.

Kaylee and a better picture of George.

This is Jacob, who just turned 9 on the 19th of July.
We are attempting to get 5 children and one mommy lined up for a picture!

Bless my daughter's heart, she is trying to get Jacob to line up and I am
laughing with him.
Children has such boundless energy, don't they?
Seeing all 5 of my grands at once was such a precious gift today!
They had already been to the hands on children's museum earlier in the morning.
It was hot outside.
But I was having such fun watching them.
So thankful my daughter's and their hubby's are such good parents,
the my grandchildren are healthy and well taken care of.
Just feeling my blessings along with the great progress Terry is making each day.

Kevin and Kaylee get the award for being the best "liner uppers".
Dylan, on the right is our "baby", but don't tell him that!
He is 2 1/2 but can keep up with any of them.

We only have one princess granddaughter and her name is
Kaylee Lynn Deitrick.
Guess who her middle name is named after? lol
She and Aunt HaHa (their nickname for Heather) did their nails and
hair this morning.......
somehow surrounded by all the boys!
Kaylee looked beautiful!
However, like her cousins and her brother she loves baseball/softball.
She is even on a "travel" ball team that played around the state in the summer!
God bless her and her dad who is a coach!

When I see my grandchildren, cannot help but wonder how time went
so fast.
These are my three children through the years.
Kellie, closest to me, Heather and Bobby

My "little angels" for our Christmas card 1981

3, 8 and 10, Easter that year.
sorry pic is crooked!

Easter 1987

My wedding, Kathy, Heather and Kellie
Kathy was a friend.

Bobby walked me down the aisle, he was 13.
When the minister asked who "give this women",
Bobby and his sisters all said, "We do".

Bless his heart, Terry not only married me, he inherited a almost grown up
family.
Yes, I was very happy that day.  I took my glasses off for the professional pictures
(could not to walk up the aisle or I would not have seen a thing, lol)
Since the wedding was pre CI, I could not hear and trying hard to see
the photographer, lol.
None the less, I love this picture to pieces.

Goodness, I sure hope I did not bore you with all these family pictures
today.
Just felt so blessed and wanted to share my family.

Blessings,

Next time I will finish the Colorado trip and then take you all to Sedona 2007

Everyone say bye now!

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn

Colorado's Aspen in Fall

The spectacular Aspens in Fall!

This was right in the town of Estes Park.
Such peace. The man and his dog and the "How Great Thou Art" backdrop of the
Rockies and the Aspen!
This is one of my favorite pictures of our trip.

This also was in town, on the way back to our motel after the elk festival
the morning we left.

This was the B&B property.
Forget how many acres they have, but it is massive property with trails, little mts
and such.

Heading into the B&B

Going to the entrance for Rocky National Park
Estes Park side

Another view from town.

Seeing Aspens in the Fall
was a totally difference experience  from the  red maple foliage of the NE
I am familiar with and miss every Fall.
Hence, I took lots of pictures!
These are only a few of many just of Aspen/Mountain/creek.

Our last day in town and very difficult to leave.

One of my favorites of my hubby in Colorado.

Update on hubby:  Yesterday the physical therapist told him he could use the cane
instead of the walker around the house now.
We have his Dr's follow up appointment tomorrow morning.
The physical therapy wipes him out, but he does it, sleeps and wakes up
feeling a bit better each time.
We sincerely thank each and every one of you for your prayers, good thoughts
and to our friend in Japan the pages you have made for Terry.
We both have felt the power of your love and caring at this time.

Next time, will be Denver!

Blessings,
From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn

More Beautiful Colorado 2006

Yesterday, I promised to show you our "swinging bed" at Romantic Riversong in
Estes Park, Colorado.
It was a fun experience!
It was off the floor and did gently swing.
Does not look like it in the picture.
From another angle also showing the fireplace.

We arrived in Denver on Friday night and spent three nights in Denver.
We had a tour planned from Denver that took us our over the continental divide to Grand Lake
on Sunday, but it snowed Saturday in the higher peaks and the road was closed and the
tour was cancelled!
So instead we went to a Railroad museum in Golden, CO.

Drove to Estes Park on Mounday, stopping in Boulder for lunch.

Heading our of Denver toward Boulder
Downtown Boulder
Would have loved to have spend more time here.

If you know us well, you know we LOVE Borders, Books A Million and Barnes & Nobles.
They had a lovely cafe in Borders, so we ate lunch here.
Yes, sadly I heard this week Borders is closing their stores.

The day we arrived in Estes Park, we pulled into the vistor's center/rest area
to look at the map to locate the B&B
Terry told me to look up and there walking down the sidewalk just as happy as could be was an
ELK!
I was stunned, speechless and almost dropped my camera trying to get out of the car to
take a picture.
By the time, I took the picture, Mr Elk has passed by!

However, he then turned around and I was able to get this shot!
Thank you Mr. Elk!

Over the next few days we saw more Elk in Rocky National Park
Guess these are all females waiting for Mr. Elk to strut by......

There he is!

This is on the B&B property.
A trail up a small mountain.

Just to prove that I was there too! lol

I was so excited to see SNOW on the ground.
I loved the snow on the peaks, but to be able to touch snow made my Yankee heart sing!

Speaking of snow, this was actually my birthday. The B&B was between Rocky and
Estes Park.  Here we are going back to the B&B and it felt and looked like SNOW.
I was so excited because I was sure it would SNOW just for me on my birthday!

People in the stores told us, "NOPE, TOO EARLY"
Guess what?
They were right!  No snow!!

Here we are coming into the B&B entrance.
The mountain behind us.

I did not get snow for my birthday, but.....
looking down from our balconey we saw an ELK.

Mr Elk made my birthday extra special.
Yes, I heard them bugle.
If you know me, you know I lost my hearing at 39 and then had the cochlear implant
13 years later in 1999.
So HEARING the elk bugle was twice as exciting for me.
It was Terry's first time hearing them bugle and seeing elk also.

Mountain Sunset on our last night at the B&B

We spent the last two nights at this motel right in town.
We loved being able to walk all over the town from our motel room.
Only thing, when we checked in I kiddingly asked if any loose rock from mountain
directly behind the motel ever fell on the building.....
They responded, "not often"!

The weekend we left was the start of the elk festival.
I have a friend who loves wolves.
We had never seen one up close and personal.

This was our "treasure" we took back (they shipped) with us from
Colorado, the elk festival and our wonderful trip.
The antler handles are the shedded antlers they pick up.
So nothing is hurting the elk.

I am sure you have noticed them next to our "gel" fireplace in my photos of our cottage.
Even thought our "gel" fireplace does not need the tools,
we love our "memory" of our wonderful trip.

From our motel in town, we could watch the sunrise on the mountains.

If you are a friend on FB you have seen this many times.
A lovely women passing us on the walk around the lake offered to take us together.
It is one of our favorite pictures.

Next time, I will show the beautiful Aspen trees in their golden dress.
Also some very interesting shots of downtown Denver
Including the Capital Mansion neighborhood where we stayed with some of the awesome
homes in the neighborhood.

Blessings,

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn
