Hello Friend! Wildflowers and Country Roads is both a reality and a state of mind. I warmly invite you to join me on my journey. A journey of showcasing my vision: the beauty my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ has bestowed on the world I love.

Gatlinburg, TN

Gatlinburg, TN will ALWAYS hold a piece of our hearts!
The first time was 1998
A unexpected overnight stay in a cabin on the river...
a very wet, rainy night....
a fire in the fireplace...

We have been back to Gatlinburg, several times, always
leaving a part of our hearts.

So it was this time again.
Gatlinburg, was actually the end of the trip after we left NC.
We had crossed Smoky Mountain National Park into TN

We ate at Smokey Mountain Brewery just as we did that first time in 1998
Can you see the leaves reflected in the glass windows?
Terry had awesome ribs and I had fantastic veggie wrap.

We had a special two days once again having fun together.
So this love this picture of hubby as we were packing the car to leave after two days.

Before we left Gatlinburg, there was one more thing I just had to do!
Revisit, Angelic Whispers, a shop I had been in briefly the day before.

I saw this beautiful necklace in the window as I walked by.
You can see me taking the shot in the reflection of the glass, hehe

I am passionate for statement necklaces.
I even dabble in making jewelry that I do wear.
I had gone in the shop the day before,
but due to several customers, would not take any photos.

As we were getting ready to leave that morning, this shop was calling my heart.
As I had walked by a window of this shop the previous day,
I looked up to see the owner at a table with her jewelry and
she smiled.......such a beautiful, welcoming smile.

As we were packing to leave, that smile was drawing me back to her shop

The color around us as we were packing up the car that morning.

I did go back and meet the creative designer and her husband.
Please join me tomorrow as I introduce you to Kasey Schroeder and her husband, Tim.

You will not want to miss this.
Please join me then.

Two more of Gatlinburg color/pumpkins!

Blessings,

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn

We are not much of a fan of Gatlinburg (mainly because of the traffic and people) --but it is a neat place to go (as opposed to Pigeon Forge and Sevierville---which I really hate)....

Gatlinburg is gorgeous at Christmas time... Our fav. motel in the 'burg' is Rocky Waters... They are not right in the middle of town ---yet they are right on the river and the rooms have fireplaces... LOVE it...

Great set of photos. Glad you enjoyed it. Did you buy the necklace?
Hugs,
Betsy

We love everything about the Great Smoky Mountain area, except the traffic, perhaps. :) That necklace is stunning.

Hi Lynn, wow, look at those trees! We were planning a trip this year to Gatlinburg and the Smokey Mountains, but we ended up having to post pone it till next fall because of my husbands work schedule. How wonderful it is to see all of your pictures, it makes me feel like I was right there. I can't wait till we get to go. Sometimes those little shops are just priceless. I know what you mean about them just calling to you. I feel that way about yarn stores. I get such a kick looking at all the displays and seeing what other people are making. Have a wonderful afternoon! Delisa :)
