Good morning!
Ready to switch gears again?
Yes, I love the artisan jewelry and pottery.
Yes, I the inspiration I do get from artists studio and galleries.
Then there is the time in nature that is essential to my being.
Such was our wonderful week at the "Lodge" in Cullowhee, NC.
Don't let the name full you, it was our cabin.
A two bedroom/two bath with all the necessities smack dab in the
middle of nature.
What a blessing this cabin and this week was to us.
Coming up the driveway to "home" for a week.
The awesome front porch.
Don't let the bare trees fool you either.
We were up really, really high and those trees had lost their leaves.
But the surrounding valley was glowing as the sun moved around the mountains.
Living room facing the front porch.
Stairs to the loft to the right.
Of course you know loving hubby poking around in the drawers, hehe.
Other side of living room.
One bedroom, one bath downstairs, the other
upstairs off the loft area.
Here is the loft area.
I loved this area. Honestly, I loved this whole cabin.
Want to know the truth, it is for sale too.
I told the owner if we won the lottery she would have an offer on the table asap!
I could totally seem us living here 6 months and Florida 6 months.
Kitchen, of course and the back door.
There was also full size washer and dryer in the back entry.
Hmm loving hubby seems always to be on the edge of my photos.
Oh, he is so cute, I won't crop him out!
This we my view from the kitchen window.
Almost moment by moment, as the sun played around the mountain,
the colors changed.
Breath taking and each morning I just loved going outside to greet my friends.
Want to meet them?
Come back Monday.
Am off for the weekend of grands tournament games
Yup, this is the beauty of Florida, kids are still playing baseball and football!
I will show you more beauty in nature
and
my cute friends on Monday.
May God bless the all the Veterans of the US Military and their families.
I thank you for your sacrifice's.

Hi there, I know alot about NC ---but have never heard of Cullowhee. Where is that????
Love the cabin....Looks similar to some that my childhood friends and I have rented in the mountains over the years... We had a similar one in Blue Ridge, GA ---and one in Maggie Valley. Then--one year we had one near Boone... Another time, we had one near Black Mtn. Beginning in 1992, the four of us would meet somewhere different each year for several days... Great memories!!!!
Thanks for sharing. Have a wonderful weekend with your kids/grands.
Hugs,
Betsy
Wow, that is some cabin!!! You could live there the rest of your life in luxury! I bet it costs a pretty penny, though! Hope you have a great weekend!
Oh...love it! I'm with you, a cabin in the woods sounds like a wonderful thing to get if you were a lottery winner. Glad you are back, and looking forward to visits again.
Blessings,
Gayle
Hi Lynn, Oh my gosh, you were so close to where we live in Franklin, NC. The cabin is wonderful and I do know how much you loved a week in theses mountains. We feel blessed every morning we look outside at our beautiful view. Oh how I wished we had known you were so close by.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Jeanne
You will have to hop on over Behind the Gate and see the beautiful wildflowers I just posted. I am sure you will absolutely adore them!
Blessings,
Gayle

Hi Lynn, Thanks for your sweet comment. Yes, we must get together the next time you visit this part of the Smokey Mountains. I would be so happy to meet you as well.
Hugs, Jeanne
Oh, Lynn, what a beautiful place to call home for a week! It is totally charming, and I'm sure the time spent there was restful and restorative. Being that close to the beauty of God's creation can't help but have a restorative effect on you.
Sounds like a totally fabulous trip. Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
Love,
Patti
