God Bless America as we remember 9-11-2001

New York City from my plane trip a few years later.

It has been ten years and I still cannot find the words to express.....
That I will never forget....
Those who died innocently,
The unamed heros....
the horror, the fear, the unbelief....
our President who was reading a story to children when he was told the news....
The faces on posters hanging in NYC which we all saw on tv.
My own son servicing in the USAF at the time....
had just come home the night before on leave.......
couldn't get through to the Base for his orders......
hugging him goodbye...
Driving to work every day watching the sky .......

I remember singing God Bless America all the time....
It gave me strength then and now and always.....

God bless all branches of our US Military who have kept us safe
the past ten years.
Many by giving of the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.

I am linking with our gracious hostess Beverely for
and
Spiritual Sundays

Please stop over and see many other lovely posts.

From my heart to yours, may your day be blessed. Lynn

Oh Lynn, this brought tears to my eyes. I have been watching a special on the country music channel. The music is so powerful. I pray daily for the military. Your beautiful image was so touching, blessings to you and yours today. Anne

thank you so much for your wonderful, kind words - yes we are both blessed that ours sons returned home safe and sound. Tell your son "Thank You" for his service, it is greatly appreciated as well! I hope you have a beautiful pink weekend!

A beautiful tribute, Lynn! You must have been so grateful that your son was home with you during that horrific time. Yet, I'm sure your concern was even greater when he had to leave.

For those of us not directly impacted, I dare say we CANNOT fathom the depth of pain, suffering, and anguish of those directly affected.

We can never forget those who do all they can to protect our freedoms.

GOD BLESS AMERICA...and have mercy upon us!

Blessings,

May God richly bless you, your family and your son who has served faithfully.
It still hurts as much as the when I was watching tv on that fateful day.
I have made sure all five of my grandsons have seen ground zero in person.
I want to make sure they never forget.
Thank you for such a beautiful tribute.

This is one of the loveliest blogs I have ever visited. It actually gives me a feeling of utter peace and tranquility just by looking at it. I plan to spend more time reading your posts but wanted to take a glance before heading off to bed.

Thank you for becoming my newest friend!

I am so thankful for our military men. They sacrifice so much for us. Their families do, too. This was beautiful.
