Happy Anniversary to my precious husband

Sept 3, 1994

Terry was the gift I never expected, never looked for and had to send two fleeces out to the Lord before I truly knew Terry was His gift to me.

Terry is normal hearing. I became late deafened at 39, 6 years before I met Terry in church after one of the most heartbreaking periods of my life.

I was caught between two worlds, the hearing world I knew and loved and the deaf world of signing.
Terry had taken a signing class to date a Deaf women a year before he ever met me. He has the biggest, most open of anyone I know.

The church was starting a hearing/deaf group, so I went to the first start up meeting, very reluctantly. I was terrified as I did not fit anywhere, truly caught between two worlds.

Terry and I became friends, he taught me signing, we went out to dinner, fishing, talked for hours on the TDD at night and he was a special part of my life.

Love came in quietly, unexpectedly through a wonderful friendship. When it did, it took both of us by surprise and wonder and we knew He had given us both special gifts in each other.

I am so proud to call this man my husband.  He is patient and kind and loving and 100% supportive and accepting of my strengths and weaknesses.

He is my best friend, lover, husband, soul mate.  Thank you Lord!

I love you Terry!   My own "shyit man".

Don't try to figure that one out, its our made up word, lol

Us, early this year

Blessings from my heart,

Lynn

A new blog look coming soon!

My last day of work, Friday August 27. Also my hubby's birthday!

I have spent my first week of retirement praying about my blog. What He wanted it to be.  I am excited because I will be having a new blog design done in the next several weeks.

It was "acceptable" when Blogger was a lot simplier to "design" but never as good as I wanted.  So I was going to learn HTML and do it myself, but the Lord has spoke to my heart and I know He wants me to have it designed professionally.
I believe this is because I spend more time playing with templates, and trying to get a look that shows the world who I am, and then don't have time to work on the blog posts.

Please check back in several weeks.  Once I make the final decision tomorrow, I will be on a waiting list.  This is SO worth waiting for!

I am excited and hope you will come back then and help me celebrate this new adventure in my life, of sharing retirement with my hubby and capturing the beauty and wonder that God has blessed us with every day.

Blessings from my heart,

Lynn
